The Burton LTR ("Learn to Ride") snowboard is designed specifically for beginners, and its profile reflects that. The most common profile for Burton LTR boards is Flat Top with Easy Bevel.

Here's what that means:

  • Flat Top: The section of the board between the bindings is flat. This provides a stable platform for riders to stand on, making it easier to balance and control the board.
  • Easy Bevel: The edges of the board are lifted off the snow, creating a slightly convex base. This makes it "virtually impossible to catch an edge," which is one of the biggest challenges for new riders.

The combination of the flat profile and beveled edges makes the LTR board very forgiving, loose, and catch-free
