This item is a vintage decorative desk model of a Schlumberger oil drilling bit. Items such as this are common corporate collectibles in the energy industry.
The model depicts a drilling tool used in oil and gas exploration. The drilling tool, which is made of metal, is mounted on a black base for display purposes. The base is heavy and appears to me made of some time of black marble material. The base is approximately 4” x 3” and weighs 1 pound one ounce.
A pen can be inserted in the drilling bit for writing purposes. (Pen is not included).
Item: Miniature oil drill bit replica on a stand.
Brand: Schlumberger (visible on the side of the bit). On the other side of the bit is the word AIM.
Can be used as a paperweight, desk decoration, display, or collectible.
It is in great condition. It belonged to a friend of the family who was an executive in the oil and gas business for many years.
