Vintage Cookie Monster Cookie Jar Demand Marketing USA Muppets Cookie Chef - 1970’s.

This vintage ceramic “Cookie Chef” cookie jar was produced by Demand Marketing of Henderson, Kentucky under license from Muppets, Inc. It features the Sesame Street Cookie Monster muppet with bright blue textured fur, a chef’s hat, wide expressive eyes, and a large cookie across the apron front. At approximately 12 inches tall, it has a bold, display-ready presence and retains the classic hand-painted look for which these jars are known.

The piece shows some finish wear consistent with age, including scattered paint rubs, small scuffs, and some surface scratches. The lid fits securely and the base marking remains crisp: “DEMAND MARKETING – HENDERSON, KY – MADE IN U.S.A. – © MUPPETS, INC.” The jar displays well and remains structurally sound with no cracks or visible crazing during inspection.

***There is a small amount of tape on the rim of the jar. Not visible when the lid is on. I do not know what it is covering and I won’t touch it. It could be a chip which was covered. There appear to be no cracks around it. Please see last three photos.

The cookie jar is in very good vintage condition considering its age. PLEASE ENLARGE and review photos carefully. It will be packed with extreme care. If purchased please take great care in opening and removing from packing.
