Apple iPhone XS Space Grey 64GB Unlocked - no Face ID - new Battery (100%)
Condition - Used (fully working apart from the Face ID function). No marks on the screen or the case (sides and back).
Phone has been fully reset and is ready for setup and is in good working order. Please see below notes on issues.
Issues
The face ID function is disabled and not working.
- The phone's screen replaced a few months ago because it got dropped and the screen cracked and the display didn't work properly. We bought a new replacement screen and fitted it but did not realise the face ID was linked to the old screen. I believe it can be transferred over to the new screen (someone who knows how to do this) from the old screen? The old damaged screen is included as well.
There's a notification saying the battery is not fully recognised.
- We replaced the battery because there was an issue with the old battery. The battery was bought brand new with higher capacity (3100mAH) but not an Apple branded battery. I believe this is normal behaviour and the battery charges fine and the phone doesn't overheat when charging and works fine. I've put a note (you can get instructions from Google AI or any other AI tool) further down regarding how to fix this notification if required although it doesn't affect the working/running of the phone.

How to fix the message
If you want to remove the message and see the battery health, you must:
Transfer the BMS: You (or a specialized repair shop) would need to remove the original battery's BMS board and spot-weld it to the new 3100mAh cell.
Use a Programmer: A device like a Qianli or JC-ID programmer can be used to flash the data from the old battery to a new special flexible cable or directly onto the new battery, tricking the phone.
Summary: You can safely ignore the notification if your phone charges normally, holds a charge well, and does not overheat. The notification is for "information only" to discourage 3rd-party repairs
