ITEM DESCRIPTION

All mounted items are securely delivered in plastic containers to prevent damage during transport. Papered specimens are packaged in glassine envelopes and include capture/breeding data and location when available.

A CITES certificate will be provided where required for auction/sale. CITES items are for sale within the UK only.

QUALITY: See picture. The photo shows the actual specimen unless stated otherwise. When using the “Buy Now” option, sample stock images of equivalent quality may be used.

  • Listings titled “AS PICTURED” mean the item supplied will be similar to the one shown.
  • Listings titled “SAME AS PICTURED” mean the exact item shown will be supplied.

HOW WE GRADE OUR LISTINGS (SPECIMENS)

As insect specimens are natural products (some bred, some wild-caught), quality can vary.

A1 – No visible imperfections; both antennae intact; no tearing, scratches, or missing wing parts (as perfect as reasonably expected from wild specimens). Minor leg damage may occur.
A1- – Very minor damage, usually limited to antenna damage or antennae supplied detached in the envelope.
A- – Minor damage such as antenna issues, light flight wear, small scratches, minor scale loss, or slight fraying on wing edges.
A2 – Noticeable damage such as significant flight wear, small rips, missing wing pieces, or damage to thorax or abdomen.
B / Second Grade – Damage similar to A2 but more pronounced. Typically suitable for parts replacement or artwork.

  • Holding period for combined shipments: up to 6 weeks
  • After this period, we cannot be responsible for parcels left in holding.

If payment is made without a request to combine, the package will be dispatched the next working day.

All parcels are packed carefully to minimize the risk of damage to specimens.

  • Leave negative or neutral feedback or open a refund/exchange request without contacting us first
  • Leave items unpaid more than twice
