Pit to pit-- 22 Inches
Top or collar to bottom hem-- 25 inches

Y2K-era licensed reissue of The Germs (GI) album art t-shirt, printed on a highly-regarded Bay Island Sportswear blank. This shirt is a fantastic piece of punk history, capturing the raw, abrasive spirit of the band.
The Visuals & Fit
This tee features the iconic blue circle logo centered, with the (GI) text in the top left corner—perfectly mimicking the original 1979 Slash Records LP artwork. The fabric is a 100% cotton that has faded beautifully over the last 15-20 years from deep black to a rich, charcoal grey.
The "Bay Island" blanks from this era are coveted by vintage wearers for their substantial cotton weight and classic boxy fit. It does not have side seams, indicating a tubular knit body.
The Condition ("God Tier Thrash")
This shirt isn't "pre-owned"—it is thrashed. It has achieved a level of wear that modern "distressed" shirts try desperately to emulate. This is the true "crust punk" aesthetic that collectors crave.
Important - PLEASE READ regarding the print: The blue circle print is in the early stages of Ink Rot (Acid Burn). As seen in the photos, the fabric is structurally intact and solid where there is no print, but the screen-printing process was abrasive to the underlying fibers. There are small holes only within the blue ink line itself.
To preserve this shirt: You should never machine wash this garment. Agitation will immediately expand the holes in the print. To maintain this specific, highly-desirable look, you should only hand wash and air dry.
Other condition details:
Perfect natural fade to charcoal black.
Minor pinholes/fraying near the lower hem and collar, consistent with extensive wear (see photos for details).
The original tag is present but heavily faded.
