The basic color of the LIONEL train ornament is silver. The front of the locomotive is red in the "warbonnet" paint scheme with mustard yellow and black pin striping surrounding the red. More Mustard color is on front with "SANTA FE" printed in black on it, behind the pull bars. On top are two horns, one facing forward and one backward. "2343 LIONEL SANTA FE" is printed in black on the side of the locomotive, along with porthole windows and painted ladder to the door. The wheel carriages, front and back, each contain four wheels and the carriages turn. There are lots of detail worked into the die-casting.
