Rare 'Soubreny", S.T. Dupont Lighter, Classic silver and 23K gold Gordon "Wave" pattern.silver with gold trim, Bottom cap missing, tested
Hard to find model, Sold as-is for restoration. Its curved, ergonomic shape makes it stand out from the boxy Ligne 2 models.
Mechanism: The flint sparks perfectly. It produces a flame, but as is common with vintage Duponts stored for a long time, the seals have dried out and there is a gas leak (standard for lighters left unused for 15+ years). A Dupont specialist noted it will require a standard O-ring service / new seals to be 100% daily-reliable and to be used as a daily lighter. My personal opinion I don't know if that is really needed, the flame lasts a long time and I can light the flame too many times with one fill, yet I think is best to mention what the Dupont specialist told me.
What works:
- Flint mechanism
- Lid opens/closes correctly
- Ignition wheel
- Flame appears and continuous, it lasts, I can show you Video.
"Features a small discreet vintage monogram on the cap, adding to its unique history." It is difficult to distinguish it, it not easily visible.
Make your study in the internet the Soubreny sells for 400-700 Euro and very few available, also several of them already sold in auctions, this soubreny lighter is a popular one.
Condition: Visual: Good vintage condition with few signs of wear, light surface scratches (swirls) consistent with careful use. No major dents or deep gouges. As always please see and study well the pictures. Bottom cap missing.

The Soubreny is rare: Unlike the "Ligne 1" (which you can find everywhere for 70–90 Euro), the Soubreny was only made for a short window in the mid 90s.
Highly sought-after model known for its elegant curved shape. A rare opportunity to own the elegant S.T. Dupont Soubreny, a model celebrated for its unique ergonomic curved design.
This is a "must-have" for serious Dupont collectors looking for the rare Soubreny silhouette.
It feels incredible in the hand and is a true conversation piece for any Dupont enthusiast.
The S.T. Dupont Soubreny is a fantastic "sleeper" item among collectors and its curved, ergonomic shape makes it stand out from the boxy Ligne 2 models.
