The Mercedes SL line of sports cars wrote the book on premium sports cars. This 2003 SL500 is a remarkable road machine. This SL can devour hundreds of miles at a time keeping its lucky occupants in supreme comfort, as only Mercedes can do. Besides the luxury aspect, the SL is a very capable sports car. The 5-litre 24 valve V8 generates a respectable 302HP. Coupled to a six speed automatic, this powerplant provides brisk acceleration in any gear. With this performance, the car returns a surprising 24 mpg on the highway. The SL's multilink fully independent suspension provides the SL500 handling which translates to a delight to drive when the road starts to curve.
