This is an older unit so I'm selling as parts but working I played 3 cassette tapes through the unit with no issues everything worked except the Tape counter WHICH I RELACED WITH A WORKING COUNTER. Did check the cap spins and belts they look to be good                                                                                                                         I didn't try recording anything but everything else seemed to work, and that's why it's being sold as parts there are parts available if needed on the internet I don't know the last time it was serviced sometimes the belt go bad.
