I am selling a wonderful cookbook!

This cookbook came out of an estate sale we went to recently. Among the treasures we found in the kitchen was this cookbook!

It is titled

“Loretta Lynn

YOU’RE COOKIN’ IT

COUNTRY”.

The author is none other than country music legend Loretta Lynn.

This cookbook is also autographed by Loretta Lynn, which you can see in one of the photos.

Loretta married her husband Doo when she was just 13 years old. She didn’t know anything about cooking in the beginning. She tells the story that for the first six months of marriage Doo threw out everything she cooked because it was inedible. In fact, the first time she made a chocolate pie she used salt instead of sugar! Loretta learned fast and soon became an accomplished country cook.

The cookbook begins with a preface that shares some of her life growing up and early years. Sprinkled throughout the book are memories of Loretta's life that she shares as if she were talking to an old friend. After this, the cookbook chapters are as follows:

BREAKFAST

SNACKS

SOUPS, SALADS & RELISHES

BREADS

SIDE DISHES

MAIN DISHES

DESSERTS

An index helps you locate whatever you need.

The cookbook is copyrighted in 2004. This is a First Edition.

This cookbook is hard cover with a dust jacket. It is 208 pages long. It measures 9 3/8” tall by 7 3/4” wide. The cookbook is loaded with charming illustrations, plus loads of black & white and full color photos of Loretta throughout her life and career.

Condition is pristine, even mint! Clean and complete from cover to cover, with no signs of use or wear like stains, writing, spills, etc. While I didn’t go through and count every page, I believe this book is complete, with no loose or missing pages.

A must for your cookbook library.

No reserve!
