Elegant Art Deco antique Sterling silver perfume/scent flask ideally sized for a purse or pocket. Made by the Webster Company of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, USA, such small collectible bottles typically date from the early 1900s. This particular example is rectangular in shape. It features a hammered front side edged with a decorative geometric border and a rectangular cartouche in the middle with the engraved initial "E." The border design is repeated on the otherwise unadorned back side, which is clearly marked along the bottom "Sterling" with the Webster Co. maker's mark of a "W" with a "C" and an arrow passing through it. The scent flask has its original silver dauber which comes out easily and screws firmly into place. I have not tried to put liquid into the vial, but as the piece is in excellent condition I assume that it is still fit for purpose. The only issues of note are a couple of tiny dents on back and typical light scratching on the silver surface consistent with age and use. A lovely little piece that allows you to take your favorite scent with you wherever you travel, this charming perfume flask is both beautiful and useful. It is a souvenir of a more refined era in which everyday items were made with quality materials, carefully crafted with an attention to detail, and meant to last a lifetime.
Please note that I have three such small perfume flasks available for sale. Each one is listed separately. This listing is for the one item described.
