I’m the original owner of this Nikko F10 Thunderbolt RC Frame Buggy. It comes complete with its original transmitter (band 1), original box with the styrofoam insert, original instruction manual, and other ephemera/papers. This was my Christmas present circa 1985 and was one of the first toys I had that I tried to take good care of, taking it easy on it and cleaning each time after I played with it. I’m the fool who scratched up the roof panel (and added the red paint to the sticker) but otherwise it all appears to be intact and original with no replacement parts. I was able to get the motor to run forward and in reverse by rigging up a DC converter to the battery plug. The motor felt a bit jumpy to me, but I wonder if thats because I had it hard wired instead of running on battery power? The wheels turn as expected too. AA battery terminals all look clean. Tires are intact and pliable, but flat in spots. The battery cover on the bottom of car doesn’t lock into place, but if I recall correctly, it’s very stable when the rechargeable battery pack is in place. The battery packs I have no longer hold a charge but it appears to be easy and relatively inexpensive to get a replacement. The antenna sleeve has gotten shorter over the years but is still present and intact. The wire winds up wrapping it to take up the slack and has not otherwise been trimmed. About 10-12 years ago, I installed new batteries all around and let my kids take it for a spin. What a blast! I carefully repacked it and it’s essentially been sitting back in the box ever since. Check out the photos and video, and if you have any questions, send them my way — I’m happy to respond 😊
