I do not know who Bob Berliner was.  I do know - from these business cards

 - that he worked at Wallach’s mens’ clothing store

 when it was located in the Empire State Building in NYC

I also know - well presume at least - that he was a baseball fan,

 because EACH of these 3.5 x 2 cards has been SIGNED

 on the (otherwise) blank back by a major league baseball player

maybe when he was visiting the store to purchase a new

 Hart Schaffner & Marx suit, or a Hickey Freeman shirt.
