This is for a VERY UNIQUE, ART DECO Antique JAKOB BENGEL ? Galalith Carved Green On Black Lacquer 17.25” NECKLACE. I can’t say for sure where or when its origin is. It has a construction like I’ve never seen before. The aluminum barrel clasp confirms ART DECO period. It could be European and then again it could be an Asian creation due to the lacquer pieces and the cotton? thread for the beading. It is an unknown, head scratcher. The front of the black shows light use and aging, the backside of the lacquer pieces do show some spiderwebbing , common with older lacquer. My guess is that it is at least 90-100 years old. This is a very unique ONE OF A KIND piece. It is an unknown”AS IS AS FOUND” listing.
