This is a vintage Hensoldt Wetzlar Dural-Dialytan 4x Rifle Scope No 34002. This scope was on my father's 300 Savage from the early 1950's until about 1990.  I was told (but I can't verify this since my dad is deceased) that it was taken off of a German sniper's rifle in WWII and brought back to the states, not sure how my dad received it, but I had several uncles that were in WWII.  I was born in 1952 and I as early as I can remember my dad had it on his gun.  I used it in 1968 to get my first deer.  Anyway, it was taken off the 300 Savage and has been in a box for 35 years or more.  It is still clear to look through, but it does show signs of use on the outside, mainly normal wear, especially where the rings and mount were around the scope.  The bottom was filed down at some point; I guess to fit the gun.  Anyway, I am selling it as is, so please take a good look at the pics.  It would make a fine addition to someone's collection.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Thanks.
