Vintage 1945 Advertising Postcard for "Slice It Thin!" at The Blackfriars' Guild
This original 1945 postcard advertises the "Closing Season" production of Slice It Thin!, a "Hilarious Farce with Music" written by Lt. Edward N. Heghinian, U.S.N.R. and Al Moritz.
Directed by Dennis Gurney, the play ran from May 10th to May 27th, 1945.
The Blackfriars' Guild was a significant part of New York’s theatrical history, known as the first religious-sponsored professional theatre in the city and the oldest continuous Off-Broadway theatre until its closure in 1972.
