    Shock Strut is crucial for safety

    It is recommended to replace the shock absorbers every 80,000 kilometers , and the shock absorber needs to be replaced in pairs.

    • 20.000km: Please check your shock absorber
    • 80.000km: Need to replace your shock absorber
    • 100.000km: DANGER ! Please replace your shock absorber as soon as possible

     

    Shock absorbers keep your wheels in contact with the road. Without them your brakes and tyres simply can't do their job!

    • Stopping – At 50kmh, just one worn shock absorber can increase your stopping distance by up to 2 metres!
    • Steering - Worn shock absorbers can cause your tyres to lose contact with the road, dramatically affecting steering.
    • Stability – Worn shock absorbers cause excessive sway around corners, making the car a lot less stable.

    How to install the shock absorber?


    1. First, loosen the nuts of the four wheels according to the diagonal sequence, and is not necessary to unscrew them all.
    2. Then use the lift to lift the vehicle up, and then use the socket to completely unscrew the wheel nuts according to diagonal sequence, and also remove the wheels.
    3. According to different models, some may need to disassemble the brake caliper, and then they can disassemble shock absorber. Then go to remove the A-arm fixing bolt, and then loosen the fixing nut on the spring support arm.
    4. Use the caliper jack fix the shock arm, open the hood of the engine, and loosen the fixing nut on the body of the shock absorber. Then turn the jack to lift the shock arm, until the place where the lower end of the shock arm and the front axle are fixed is separated, and then slowly move the shock absorber away, until the shock elastic of the shock arm is completely released, and then completely loosen the fixing nut on the body of the shock absorber, and then take the shock absorber off smoothly.
    5. When the shock absorber is taken off, use the shock spring disassembling tool to fix the spring, and then disassemble the damaged shock absorber parts and rubber, and then install them back according to the previous disassembly steps after replacing them.
