When purchasing you will receive 20 letters from various points from 1941-1943. NOT THE EXACT LETTERS IN THE PHOTOS. These are letters to and from a Lt/CPT Edward Flanagin, a soldier in the 81st AA Airborne Division an attachment to the 101st airborne out of Fort Bragg NC.

Early reading of some of the letters show an incredible story of a man loved by his family who had recently had a child prior to his departure to various APO addresses. They are also filled with various newspaper clippings, cards, and other things the family was able to include.

CPT ED flanigan would go on to participate in operation market garden and served in Bastogne. He was awarded the Purple Heart, the Dutch cord, and the bronze star.

I will do my best to ensure there is a mix of to and from letters from the family with a mix of the dates. From my best knowledge he was deployed around March, 1943.

These letters are all in conditions you would expect after 80 years of storage however I have not come across any that are unable to be read. Some will have the stamps removed and others will not. Please feel free to ask more questions regarding this.

There will be no refunds for these items.
