This listing is for a vintage Conn Bb trumpet. It is a "Director" model, more commonly known as a 'shooting star' due to its iconic engraving.
The serial number is 644876, which indicates a c.1956 production date. This is a solid older student model horn.

This instrument does play in its current state, but I'd recommend a visit to the repair tech for a once over. If nothing else, it could probably use new felts, as the valves are slightly 'clicky'. The valves are in very good condition though, with minimal wear, and no oxidation. They are currently moving smoothly and rebounding quickly. None of the slides are stuck. There is one dent on the "U" bend leading to the bell. There are no other significant dents, but there are a few tiny pings and nicks. There are several re-soldered brace joints. The lacquer finish is about 75% intact, with scratching/scuffing throughout. It has aged to an attractive honey hue. There is no mouthpiece, nor any other accessories, included. It comes in an old faux-leather gig bag. The bag is in poor condition and coming apart at multiple seams. The zippers still function though.
