A beautiful and historically significant vintage Rolex Oyster Imperial Chronometre from the late 1930s.

This watch represents one of the early generations of Rolex’s famous waterproof “Oyster” watches and houses a high-grade chronometer-rated manual wind movement. The case retains its original hallmarks and classic pre-war ROLEX Oyster profile.

The dial is original and particularly attractive with Arabic numerals, railroad minute track and subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock. The dial has developed a lovely warm patina that collectors appreciate and the printing remains crisp and correct.

Inside is a Rolex chronometer movement engraved “Timed 6 Positions” with 15 jewels, reflecting Rolex’s early commitment to precision timekeeping.
