📖 Item Description
Original Eastern Coach Works (ECW) aluminium body plate from the Lowestoft works, stamped Body No. 21125. This plate would have been fitted inside the body of an ECW-built bus or coach for identification, maintenance reference and works correspondence.
The handwritten marking “KKM 103P” on the reverse is typical of depot or scrapyard practice, strongly suggesting that this was the registration of the vehicle from which the plate was removed. This aligns with ECW mid-1970s production and is consistent with the plate’s numbering and construction.
A genuine and increasingly scarce example of ECW bodywork heritage — ideal for enthusiasts of Bristol, Leyland and UK bus preservation.
