Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam ~ Edmund Dulac ~ 1909 1st Edition Fairy Tales

Very good condition, 1st edition thus in original cloth boards, with gilt lettering and gilt decoration to boards. Listed as 'Printed from the second edition with kind permission from Messrs Macmillan & Co.', this is the first Dulac edition. The boards are good and display well despite some minor toning while there is some cloth splitting at the joints. The binding is firm, and there are no loose leaves. The text block is tight. The endpapers are clean and unmarked, with a previous owners prize bookplate. The pages are very good with only some mild foxing and some occasional marks. Tipped in plates have been collated and are complete, with 20 in total including the frontispiece.  Illustrations clean and bright and all printed tissue guards are present and in very good condition.
