Collection grade, fluorescent and tenebrescent Sodalite var Hackmanite (orange and pink in long wave, pale purple-red in short wave) in Dolomite (no UV reaction) matrix large cabinet display mineral specimen (1.25kg).

This Hackmanite specimen demonstrates orange and pink fluorescence in the long wave UV light, pale purple-red fluorescence in the short wave UV light and daylight tenebrescence (ability to change colour after illumination with the UV light).

When left in dark or indoors for prolonged duration (hours to days) the purple colour will fade! However, it is very easy to restore the deep purple colour by exposing the specimen to UV light, meaning the colour change is reversible.
