Offered is a blue and white Delft style British "Pill" tile that features the coat of arms for the Guild of Pharmacists in London.  It is the replica of the type of 15th-17th century tiles used by pharmacists at that time to roll and round pills.  The tile depicts Apollo, god of healing.  Below the shield is the Latin motto:  "I am called throughout the World the One who brings Help."

A full explanation of the tile, one of a set of 6 produced in 1987 in England by Burroughs Wellcome Co., is written on a paper label attached to it reverse side.

The tile is in excellent condition--no chips, cracks or crazing--and measures 6" square and is 1/4" deep.

This meaningful tile can be deployed for a variety of decorative purposes.
