This luxurious 1930s Cadillac comes from a longtime collector in Indiana. The car was restored both cosmetically and mechanically to serve as a reliable short-distance touring and parade vehicle. It was fully repainted many years ago, with all leather interior seats and door panels replaced, and features a complete folding convertible top with a soft boot cover. Tan carpeting covers the interior floors. The wiring has been fully updated, and the engine has been completely rebuilt, including a valve job with Egge valves and guides, cam rollers, and springs. It was also converted to more dependable Carter updraft carburetors with an auxiliary electric fuel pump. Recent maintenance includes new spark plugs, rebuilt carburetors from the Carburetor Shop, new engine and transmission mounts, a rebuilt water pump, fresh engine oil, new fuel sender floats, and stainless steel wiper blades.

It is a terrific classic that continues to run and drive very well, making for an excellent addition to any collection. All vehicles available at the St. Louis Car Museum are marketed internationally, and with shipping options available for collectors. When you factor in the rarity of these production 12-cylinder Convertible Sedans, chances are you will not see another on the market anytime soon! History About Cadillac's Famous Fleetwood Series 85 Convertible:
Representing the final year, Cadillac offered its luxurious V12 engine, which had debuted initially in 1931. Production peaked at an all-time high following the 1936 model year, and sales continued to double in 1937, suggesting that the Great Depression was finally ending. With Packard as their only major competitor in the luxury car market, Cadillac maintained its dominance through advanced engineering and multiple model lines on various chassis platforms. The larger V12 and V16 engines were exclusively available for the 138" wheelbase, with very few units produced. Overall, only 474 V12 engines were built across all models, and the V16 count was just under 50 units annually.
