ICE Metal Express 1990 Silent Death Unleaded RPG game #7000 – Plus #7011 booklet
This is a role playing game (RPG) from 1990 called Silent
Death Unleaded. The front of the box reads ‘In a universe of brutality and
wrath, justice is meted out from the barrels of Pulse Lasers and Impulseguns.
Here, fighters and gunboats streak to their final rendezvous. Torpedoes are
fired, missiles launchers are primed, and battle is joined!’.
Silent Death Unleaded is a quick and exciting starfighter
combat. It has a comprehensive listing of available starfighters with a wide
array of deadly weapons systems. There is a rich future history for Fighter
Wings and regional conflicts and plenty of prepared scenarios, plus a system to
design your own.
This game comes with the Silent Death #7000 manual, 6x
playing maps that you position together to make a massive 47” x 42” playing
surface. 9x die with numbered from 1 to 6 and 1 to 12. A errata sheet with an
explanation of why this is the Unleaded version. 5x Scenario sheets. 2x player
pieces sheets, 1 is unpunched. The other has 12 pieces pressed out, but these
are still present just loose. Additionally, it comes with the Silent Death
#7011Overkill: The Ptolemean Wars campaign booklet.
This is over 35 years old and understandably has signs of
storage damage. The playing maps have some water marks but this has not resulted
in any damage to the surface. The booklets do have creases and signs of being
handled. However, the internal game sheets appear to be intact. This together
with the near complete unpunched cards suggest it has not been fully used. The loose
scenario sheets had been torn along the perforation. Scenario 1 also has some
pencil markings. I’m sure these can be erased, but we didn’t want to damage
them. It is not clear if all the die are original as they are paired but vary
in colour.
