These melt breccia specimens represent the ancient, magnesium-rich Lunar crust fused together by a major impact, resulting in a glassy, recrystallized matrix allowing this material to take on a beautiful polish!

Anorthosite – the dominant rock of the lunar highlands
Troctolite
Olivine norite
Additional impact melt fragments
Accessory minerals such as Fe-Ni metal, troilite, and chromite are also present in minor amounts.
