Vintage Postcard - Union Street Aberdeen Scotland Trams REAL PHOTO POSTED

This is a real photo postcard showing a bustling Union Street in Aberdeen, Scotland, viewed from the east end. Union Street was largely built between 1801 and 1805 to provide a majestic entrance to the city, requiring the construction of substantial stone arches to level the terrain and earning the city its fame for granite architecture.

Condition: Minor edge and corner wear consistent with age. Slight toning and very light foxing on the reverse. The front image remains sharp and clear with no creases. This card measures approximately 133mm x 85mm.

Philatelic & Publisher: Published as part of the Valentine's 'Bromotype' Series. It features a King George V one penny red stamp, postmarked in Aberdeen on 13 September 1930. The card has a divided back layout typical of the era. Authenticity Evidence: The Bromotype series was Valentine's high-quality real photographic line, and the image displays the characteristic tonal depth and slight silvering in the shadow areas typical of early 20th-century silver bromide prints.

Message Summary: A message from Ivy to Miss J.P. Tillotson in Barrow-in-Furness. Ivy mentions she is currently on holiday because she does not have a job, and notes that she fulfilled a personal goal by obtaining a '3rd Pass' in a recent endeavor. She also wishes Jean luck in securing a new position.
