Here is a very Rare collector's item! Circa 1930s
Antique Radio Repairman Pocket Watch 0- 10 Volt Meter
Brand name is MESCO, I think they sold "kit" radios and test equipment thru catalogs back in the 1920s/30s era
Meter is pretty good shape cosmetically overall with some wear and scratches and dirt to the metal parts.
I tried testing a couple batteries with it but a 9VDC battery makes the needle go off scale because the pointer isn't adjusted to zero, or at least it doesn't always drop completely to zero so definitely needs adjusting/calibrating? In any case I couldn't get it to work properly so it is offered asis not guaranteed to work
Originally sold to the Radio technicians to keep in their pocket (similar size to a pocket watch) when they came to your house to check your battery voltage on your radios back in the 20s when rural people didn't all have AC to their houses and used big wet cell rechargeable DC "car" batteries to power their home radios!
Nice piece of history!
