This is a lovely vintage set of Japan dragon moriage tea set. Moriage is a Japanese decorative technique characterized by raised enamel or slip designs, often depicting dragons, landscapes, or floral motifs. Specifically, refers to porcelain items decorated with these elaborate dragon designs, popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Each 3D raised design was painted by hand. This beautiful porcelain set is a mix of smoky/gray, white, blue, pink and gold hand painted made in Japan.
This set includes: 6 teacups 6 saucers 1 teapot 1 serving plate 1 creamer bowl
Marking at the bottom of each cup and saucer "Fleetwood China Hand Painted"
Please note the colors on each item with a slight difference or shade due that each item was hand painted.
Good wear condition consistent with age & use. On 3/6 saucers, the dragons are missing 1 eye - probably from tea cup sitting on top. It’s barely noticeable see last pic - remnants of the blue eye still visible.
