- A Vintage (but more than likely Antique) small Arts and Crafts style oak coffer or "blanket chest Apprentice piece (so a small version of a coffer or blanket Box, made by apprentices when practicing their craft and often used as a Sales sample of the larger item. It appears to be made of Oak and features recessed panels on the front and stile legs, reflecting the simplistic, traditional craftsmanship favored during the Arts and Crafts movement. It measures approx 29 x 11.5 x 13.5cm (L x Depth x HT). It's an old piece so there is some surface wear, but it is a sturdy piece and has brass hinges.
- The second box is veneered and has lovely dove tail joints and quality brass hinges on the back. Small part of the veneer on the lid is lifting as pictured, and the front clasp is tarnished. It might have been used as a canteen for cutlery at one stage would have had a fabric lining, which has been removed, causing a bit of the interior wood to lift. All pictured. But still a lovely box and handy for storage on a coffee table or shelf. It measures approx 31 x 22 x 6.5cm. Some minor surface wear but still looks good.
