peacock chandelier

A beautiful 1930 French art deco chandelier in nickel plated bronze or solid brass. The superb fixture holds a large hexagonal bowl and 3 side-shades in molded-pressed glass. Frosted by acid with hand-polished glossy highlights.  This model Muller glasses is referred to as les paons (the peacocks). A similar smaller chandelier is represented in the old product catalog of Louis Ravaud a blacksmith from the city of Lyon France who produced forged iron art deco lamps during the interbellum. In his shop he also sold bronze lighting fixtures made by other manufacturers alongside his own wrought iron products. The Ravaud catalog is of course no part of this sale.

The finely detailed mounting matches the decoration of the glasses. All shades are signed Muller freres Luneville. The chandelier has a height of 85,5 cm and is about 78 cm wide.
The chandelier is in excellent condition. I have replated and patinated the mounting. For the US it comes wired with one American standard socket and three candelabra base ones. For Europe I will place standard E27 and E14 sockets.

I must ship the mounting of this chandelier disassembled since the central bowl must be placed in the ring before the three arms are attached. It is not that difficult to mount it again and I will add a clear manual.
