Starts but does not drive !!!
Gearbox Mechatronic Fault !!! (Confirmed) i have the fault code including running codes and diagonistics.
There is a company in London that specialises in repairing the mechatronic unit on these DSG gear boxes. They have quoted £700 to repair with a 12 month warranty.
These cars are retailing at +£3500
This car is my wife's old car. It was her daily car she used for work and was an extremely comfortable smooth drive with no knocks or squeaks until it refused to go into gear.
We have been reliably informed that the fault is the mechatronic unit and not the gearbox itself , as is very commen with the DSG's. This unit interprets electronic signals from the ECU before utilising hydraulic power to precisely engage the correct gear at the correct time.
I have already brought my wife a new car so i need this gone as the insurance has been swapped and the MOT has now expired.
I have spoken to a specialist who repairs the mechatronic unit with a 12 month warranty, but this requires me taking the car to him in London and which i dont have the time and energy for.

As you can see from the pictures and the video the body work and interior is very nice.
It only has one small dent on the nearside wing and the cover is missing from the back of the nearside wing mirror. The mirror works fine and is in good working order.
##This vehicle was a cat S damage in 2023.
Unfortunately we was not aware of this as it was brought from a reputable garage that no longer operates.
