Beautiful and unusual (possibly antique) porcelain covered bowl/dish. It has a matching dome lid and tray style saucer. In perfect condition.

No chips, cracks or crazing.

Has a unique pottery mark on reverse of bowl and saucer. It does not give pottery maker's name or other symbol. Experts have noted that post-war Japanese and modern Chinese manufacturers often produce wares with made-up or stylized marks designed to look antique, especially with Rococo-style designs and fake heraldic symbols. The mark design is of two lions with human faces, holding indeterminate flags either side of a shield with a crown on top.

It is however a charming addition to any collection. The green floral design adds a touch of elegance, while the saucer tray base provides functionality.
