"La CANICULE"

This is a large unframed, signed and numbered, Marcel Mouly lithograph on paper, entitled "La Canicule (heat wave.)"  

The art is hand signed by Mouly, and it is "numbered" from the European Artist's Proof edition (EA.)  This piece is annotated EA on the lower left of the art.  

Marcel Mouly (1918 - 2008) was born in Paris.  His career of painting was influenced greatly by Picasso, Matisse and Braque.  His work has been collected all over the world, and exhibited in prestigious venues around the globe.  His art has been included in the permanent collections of more than twenty museums.  He was at his death, the last living protege of the great Picasso.

The print is in excellent condition!   Like most Mouly art works, this piece is very colorful...outstanding fauvist bold colors in this beautiful landscape piece!  A dramatic Mouly lithograph with wonderful reds, greens, blues, oranges, and yellows!  Hard to get any more colorful!

The dimensions of the print are 31" X 24 1/2." The image is 27 1/2" X 22."  The print comes with a deckled edge on the bottom side. This lithograph is beautiful, as was Mouly's tradition.  Even the paper used for the print is high quality and soft to the touch.

Included with the art is a Certificate of Authenticity (COA.)
