For your consideration is this Vintage Akai X-1800SD Cross Field Reel to Reel Tape Recorder. The Reel to Reel was cleaned, tested and found to be in good working condition (please see video). I did notice, however, that the left reel does not spin on its own unless you are rewinding the tape. Cosmetically the reel to reel is in good condition for its age with signs of age and wear (please see pictures). In the video the reel to reel is playing through high end stereo speakers. The built in speakers function as well, but they do not sound as clean/crisp. Both meters and meter lights function properly. The 8 track player did not function properly. The 8 track player appears to play too fast causing the sound to be high pitch. This may have been due to user error. I did not test the record feature. The front cover is missing. The fuse appears to be a DIY/amateur installation. The dimensions of the reel to reel are 16.5" Height, 13.5" Width & 7.25" Depth. Due to the nature of vintage electronics being temperamental, I would prefer that the buyer be knowledgeable and have the ability to perform minor maintenance/service.  I offer a 30 day money back guarantee so you can buy with confidence.
