MAXONADE

A beautiful French 1930 art deco chandelier in nickel plated solid brass or bronze holding a cloisonné enameled  bowl by Maxonade.  Being the glass manufactory of Maximilien Boissonnade (1877–1975), who founded his art glass studio in 1925 at 118–120 avenue du Maine. In 1929 he moved to 54 bis rue Labrouste, and finally to 52 rue de la Boétie in 1932. Maxonade produced artistic glass using his distinctive cloisonné enamels, which he dedicated primarily to lighting. The shades for chandeliers are done with the enamel on the inside of the bowl.

The pendant light has a total height of 44 cm. And the bowl is 33,5 cm in diameter. It is signed Maxonade Paris. And has a frosted surface on the outside. The chandelier is in very good condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the mount. And it comes newly wired. The pendant holds a US standard base socket.  For Europe I will place a E27 one.
