This taper turning attachment is manufactured from high-quality castings and tool steel, offering significantly improved precision and rigidity compared to earlier models. Designed for accuracy and durability, it is available with Morse Taper shanks MT1, MT2, MT3, and MT4, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of lathes.
The advanced design eliminates the need for the traditional and time-consuming method of offsetting the lathe tailstock when producing tapered profiles in metal or wood turning. It provides a more controlled, repeatable, and precise taper turning solution.
The attachment is supplied with two interchangeable centre options—a hardened and precisely ground dead centre and a double-bearing live revolving centre—allowing users to select the most suitable option based on the application. The centres can be easily interchanged to meet different machining requirements.
Slide movement is controlled by a fine metric threaded lead screw, allowing smooth and accurate adjustment. The slide can be shifted 25 mm to the left or right, with one full handle rotation corresponding to a 1 mm offset, enabling precise taper control. A brass gib is provided for fine adjustment, smooth slide movement, and secure locking using slide screws and bolts.
The complete set is supplied with spare and interchangeable live and dead centres and is securely packed in a durable plastic suitcase to ensure safe storage, transport, and extended product life.
