The TMC2240 driver is a new type of silent driver that supports a higher-voltage and a larger current output. If you use high-voltage (greater than 24V) or high current (greater than 1.2A), you must use active cooling to avoid overheating drive.
TMC2240 defaults to SPI-mode at the factory, and we recommend that you use SPI-mode; If you need to use UART-mode, you need to manually short together the solder joints at R4 position with-tin; To avoid damaging drive, it is not recommend to try it easily without welding experience. We recommend that you choose TMC2209 for UART-mode drive.
