If the pins can't go through the hole, there are two suggested solutions for you

(1) The OD of lower section of the pin is a little bigger than the upper threaded section. you can take the nut down and insert the pin into the hole from the upper threaded side


(2) If solution 1 can't solve your problem, you can grind the bigger section with lower-grit number sandpaper. use a piece of sandpaper to wrap the lower section tightly. turn the pin 360 degree and keep turning several times
