Retro 51 Tornado POP Series Roller ball/Ballpoint Pen, Donut Dollies Limited Edition of 918 Serially Numbered Pens Retro 51's newest limited edition Popper design celebrates donuts. After all, what lifts morale and gets you going in the morning? Donuts! This was the case in 1918, during World War I when the Salvation Army sent young women volunteers to the war front to give out donuts and coffee to soldiers. It gave them a sense of home and lifted their spirits during their tough combat missions.

In 1938, the Salvation Army established "National Donut Day" in June to honor these brave young women who served during WWI and continued to serve throughout the Vietnam War. In the same way, Retro 51 created this special Tornado covered in donuts to lift morale and inspire you to do a great job, even in the toughest circumstances. This roller ball pen has two dozen acid-etched donuts that have been glazed with sugary frosting (lacquer finish) and finished with chrome accents and a donut on the top of the cap. Each pen is numbered on the top ring and packaged in a matching commemorative gift tube. The pen is fitted with a smooth flowing roller ball refill that is retracted with its patented knurl twist-top. Replace the roller ball with any readily available Parker-style ballpoint refill and your Tornado is now a ballpoint pen.
