Note, the picture above is not correct. The picture shows 8 pin connector, the actual product has a 7 pin DIN connector which fits the Tandberg decks. Sorry for any confusion.

I've been making wireless remote adapters since 2006 with more than 3500 units shipped worldwide. I am an electrical engineer and started making unit for Nakamichi cassette decks for people on the NakTalk email list. Over the years my customers have asked me to make similar units for other models and brands of audio gear. I now make over 17 models of remote adapters for 10 different brands (Aiwa, Akai, Alesis, Ampex, Crown, Denon, Nakamichi, Otari, Revox, Sony, Studer, Tandberg, Tascam, Teac and Technics). I typically sell through eBay, but, low volume models are only sold direct. If you don't see a remote adapter for your equipment ask me, I might have one already.

This unit works just like the Nakamichi RM-580 Wireless Remote Controller. It plugs into the back of properly equipped Nakamichi tape decks and allows the 6 standard transport functions (play, stop, pause, record, fast forward and rewind) to be controlled from across the room. On the RX-series it can control the tape flip function and on the Dragon it can control the Side-B play function (the original RM-580 could not control these functions and would not even power on when connected to these decks).

This unit can be controlled by just about every universal remote on the market. It just needs to be set to control a Sony VCR (VHS, Beta or 8mm).

Control your tape deck using ANY universal remote (set for Sony VCR).

This remote receive can wirelessly control the standard 6 tape transport functions, Play, Stop, Pause, Record, Fast Forward and Rewind. On the RX-series it can control the tape flip function and on the Dragon it can control the Side-B Play.

This unit can be programmed, via a set of internal jumpers, to 1 of 4 remote codes (Sony VHS, Sony Beta, Sony 8mm and Sony Laser Disc Player). This allows multiple units to reside in the same room and be independently controlled.
