This is a set of 8 piston rings for two cylinder John Deere UNSTYLED model B UNSTYLED with all 3/16" compression ring grooves and 3/16" oil ring grooves. Fits unstyled tractors ONLY with hand start, NO BATTERY or electric starter.    Six compression rings and 2 oil rings come in the set. All 8 rings are 3/16" wide.   Check your pistons to see if you need standard 4 1//4" STD, or 4 1/4"+ 0.045" over bore diameter over size before you order please.  DID I say Hand Start? That means you put your hands on the flywheel and spin it to make it run. Please look at the pictures above. Unstyled Hand Start.       Look at the sample tractor pictures above with the Hand Start flywheel and if your tractor is different then we need to see what is different. You may have a newer tractor that was not 4 1/4" bore. Please take a few moments to look, measure, and order the right size rings to save everyone including you the time and expense of a return.

Shop Tip:   A good quick easy way to check the ring groove width is to get a box of drill bits and see what size drill just fits down into the ring groove.

This first quality made in USA Piston Ring set for 2 cylinder engines includes piston rings for both cylinders.

Same as Hastings 7741 set only this set is all cast iron rings including the oil rings for fast break in and minimal cylinder wear.  The cast rings will conform to a worn bore and do not require honing before use if the bore is clean.   The cast rings will break in much faster than chrome rings will.  Originally when new these tractors came from the factory they were made with all cast iron piston rings and this set matches original performance. The cast iron rings will not wear your cylinder bore as much as the chrome rings that other suppliers sell.   If you are unsure of the correct size please send me the Deere part number inside the back of the piston and I will double check.   If your piston diameter measures 4 1/2" or larger these rings will not work for you. Your serial number needs to be under 60000.  If it is over 60000 you do mot have a 4 1/4" bore. The BR and BO versions have a different serial number range and you must measure first and be very cautious. Please message me before purchase to be sure of the size. If you do not measure before you purchase you will have to pay the return shipping. And I may not have the newer 4 1/2" or 4 11/16" size rings here in the over size that you need. I have these available in 4 1/4"STD as well as +.045" and +.090" over size.  Look at the drop down list please.
