This upswept bowie was purchased from knifemaker Carl Gray Jr in 2006.  Never used!

The Blade:  6" x 1 5/8" at widest. Snake eye pattern Damascus steel- USA made.  Tempered to 57-6 Rockwell. It is convex ground with a top false edge.  Forge welded, annealed, with 448 layers.  The blade is then heat treated and double tempered.  Sanded out to 600 grit before etching to the desired finish. Hidden tang construction with a sharp edge.  OAL 11 3/4".

The Handle:  Dark gray box elder burl (stabilized and dyed).  2 recon turquoise spacers, 2 black and yellow spacers, capped with a Damascus snake eye butt cap with mosaic pin.  The guard is solid nickel silver (silver soldered). The guard is marked "JR. Gray '06".

The Sheath:  Comes with "Herman Oaks" 8-9oz clean strap.  Hand tooled, hand sewn, three-tone dyed with Fiebings mahogany, brown and black oil dye.  

Comes with a signed Letter of Authenticity.
