Vintage Bitossi Rimini Blu Ashtray by Aldo Londi – Model 828

Offered is a highly collectible vintage ceramic ashtray from the iconic Rimini Blu series by renowned Italian designer Aldo Londi, produced by Bitossi Ceramiche in the 1950s.

This piece exemplifies the distinctive Rimini Blu aesthetic, featuring rich blue, turquoise, and green glazes applied over hand stamped geometric textures. As with authentic Bitossi production, subtle variations in glaze depth, tone, and surface texture are inherent to the hand-crafted firing process and are intentional design characteristics, not flaws. These natural irregularities contribute to the individuality and artistic integrity of the piece.

The underside is clearly signed “Italy” with model number 828, confirming authenticity. The ashtray remains in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, repairs, or structural damage. The glaze is well preserved with strong color saturation and no fading.
