CACF (Cooperativa Artigiana Ceramisti Faentini) Faenza "Garofano" (Blue Carnation) plates are authentic, hand-painted Italian majolica from the renowned "City of Ceramics" in Italy. Originating from 18th-century designs inspired by Eastern motifs, this pattern features delicate carnations and floral patterns on a distinctive pale blue background.


The CACF was a renowned artisan cooperative in Faenza, Italy. Features the "Garofano" (carnation) pattern mould, often with hand-painted, intricate blue floral designs on a light blue or white background with scalloped, molded rims. These plates are typically double-fired majolica, known for their vibrant, hand-painted detail and  high-quality finish.


These plates are part of a long tradition of Italian,, specifically Faentine, ceramic craftsmanship, often used for elegant dining and considered a staple of classic Italian, aesthetic.


This plate measures 9.2 inches in diameter and is 1.1 inches tall. It is in excellent shape with no chopping or cracking. The Italian artists last name "Perga" is signed on the back. It is missing its sticker labels. It is not labeled with the Sigma, Biordi, or CACF brand but seems to match the CACF designs and specifically their plate moulds  the best.
