A beautiful Staffordshire Tableware Balustrade Tea Set. The set consists of a teapot, sugar bowl and milk jug. Staffordshire Tableware Ltd was a producer of mugs, tableware and dinnerware based in Stoke On Trent in England. It was formerly the ceramics division of the Coloroll Group. The Coloroll Group went into receivership in 1990 and the ceramic division was subject to a management buyout being renamed Staffordshire Tableware Ltd. This also went into receivership on the 29th December 2000. The tea set is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There are some small manufacturing flaws. The teapot lid has a small brown mark on the inside of the rim. This is under the glaze. The Sugar bowl lid has a small line in the ceramic on the inside of the lid, again this is under the glaze. The teapot is 17cm (6.69") wide at widest point and 14.6cm (5.74") tall to the top of the lid. It is 26cm (10.23") from handle to spout. The milk jug is 11cm (4.33") wide at widest point and 9cm (3.54") tall at the tip of the spout. It is 14cm (5.51") from handle to spout. The sugar bowl is 11.5cm (4.52") wide at the widest point, it is 13.5cm (5.31") from handle to handle and 11.5cm (4.52") tall. All the pieces have the Staffordshire Tableware stamp on the base. A beautiful set.
