This is one Lot of five (5) rare vintage original archive photos of NBC Studios in New York City, 1953. This is the former vaudeville Majestic Theatre on Columbus Circle which was home to the 1903 musical stage play "The Wizard of Oz." Later it became a burlesque theatre, the Minky's Park Music Hall in the 1920s. It was used by the great Florenz Ziegfeld when it was named the Cosmopolitan Theatre. Eventually it became the International Theatre which was converted to a live Television studio and used for shows such as Admiral Broadway Review (1949) and Your Show of Shows starring Sid Caesar and Imogene Coca (1950-54). The theatre no longer exists and was torn down. The vintage photos are mounted on 10"x14" double-weight manila colored pages and the photos themselves measure approx 8x10, borderless. There are typed and written notes from the 1950s on the pages. These come from MGM film / television archives. All photos are in great condition with very mild handling wear. All guaranteed vintage original photographs. Of course the watermark "EBAY" does not appear on the actual items. Extremely RARE.
