Hardcover. Condition: Poor. 190pp. Author not listed in volume. Volume does not contain a printing date. A later, 2nd edition did appear in 1891. This appears to be an earlier printing. Text in Spanish. Volume measures approximately 4.5"x3.25"x.5". Bound in black, blind stamped cloth, with an image of Mary on the front cover and Our Lord on the back cover. Gilt lettering on spine is largely rubbed away. Covers admit to some edge wear, mainly at bottom of boards, though this isn't terribly offensive. Frontispiece of Our Lady of Guadalupe and numerous black and white line drawings throughout volume. Paper is tanned. Binding is interiorly repaired with clear (some now browned) tape in several places at inner margin. With some splitting to hinges and perhaps a few leaves tenuously attached, binding a little shaken and will require some care in handling to preserve binding. Aside from a previous owner's information in ink to half-title-page that is dated in Mexico City in 1946, text clean. Still a usable copy that can provide many years of service as long as it is handled carefully. Slipcase is heavily worn, though has been amateurishly, but usefully repaired with black library tape.
